DESCRIPTION:El pianista Xavi Torres és un dels músics més destacats i amb més projecció del panorama jazzístic europeu. Viu actualment a Amsterdam\, on té l’oportunitat de retroalimentar-se i col.laborar amb grans músics d’arreu del món\, i on ha finalitzat el Màster de Jazz i la Llicenciatura de Clàssic al Conservatorium van Amsterdam\, després de graduarse a l’ESMUC de Barcelona. Amb el Xavi Torres Trio ha rebut diversos premis i reconeixements\, com “Millor Grup de l’any 2015” per la AMJM; així com\, entre d’altres\, guanyar la “Dutch Jazz Competition 2016”. El reconeixement més important va arribar a finals del 2018 amb la participació com a solista a la final de prestigiosa la “Thelonious Monk Jazz Piano Competition” a Washington\, DC\, essent el segon Espanyol que mai hi hagi participat. Ha gravat 4 discs com a líder i més de 30 Cds amb diferents projectes\, sent part activa de l’escena europea.\nEn aquesta ocasió vindrà acompanyat de dos dels músics més sol.licitats d’Espanya\, en Martin Leiton al contrabaix i el jove resident a Nova York Andreu Pitarch a la bateria.

Casares estrenará en primicia una serie de composiciones que formarán parte de un futuro disco.

DESCRIPTION:Este trio es una experiencia sonora única\, dónde Sirvent – conocido pianista de jazz y músicas de vanguarda – nos soprende con la trompeta\, con influencias y conceptos del free jazz bucando un sonido muy bonito\, pausado\, más típico de músicas más “cool”.  \nAcompañado de estos dos músicos impresionantes e imprevisibles como són David Mengual y Ramon Prats\, con quienes ya ha tocado numerosas veces como pianista van tejiendo una música bastante tranquila des de puntos totalmente libres\, en alguna ocasión con un pequeño criterio o motivo formal.. El espacio que se genera al no tener instrumento harmónico no es un impedimento para que se noten muchíssimas harmonias\, mientras van buscando la belleza\, el matíz\, el discurso y la forma así como también la diversión y el humor. \nThis trio is a truly experience of putting together the music of this three musicians in the field of open improvisation\, letting the emotions and ideas come out naturally. \nSergi Sirvent played piano with Ramon Prats and with David Mengual in several occasions\, but never with both together. Sergi Sirvent plays trumpet since 2000 and he has never really been practicing a lot until this last months. He felt the trumpet starts to sound pretty well\, and he could play some ideas comfortably and that´s the reason he came up with the idea of document a free session with this great musicians and create an album as a gift. \nSERGI SIRVENT\,  trumpet / DAVID MENGUAL\,  double bass / RAMON PRATS\,  drums
