El quintet encapçalat per la vocalista Emma Nagy es va formar a Budapest en 2018 per participar en un concurs de jazz local. Van guanyar i van obtenir, a més, dos reconeixements a millor solista. Aquell mateix any, van enregistrar el seu primer EP i van començar una fulgurant carrera que els ha portat a recórrer la ruta del jazz d’Hongria i a participar en festivals com el de Bratislava, Getxo i Sziget (Budapest). També han estat guardonats al Mupa Jazz Showcase (Budapest) i al concurs internacional Jazz Juniors (Cracòvia). Amb un estil contemporani i original, Nagy Emma Quintet és un dels grups joves de l’escena europea amb més futur.
